Like Crocs, sneans and leggings as pants, socks and sandals have long been regarded as a no-no, a staple reserved for dorks and dads. But lately there has been an emergence of grungy grandpa socks paired with towering platform sandals on skinny legs throughout the fashion world. In fact, whether preppy and argyle, cute and frilly, thick and woolly or loud and silly, socks are fast becoming the hot (or warm) new accessory.

Aside the sock/sandal debate, what about the inevitable physio costs of wearing these shoes for more than two minutes?
